On Sunday, Nov. 4, the junior parking lot, typically characterized by traffic and faded lines, was transformed into an enclave of activity. 60s music blared from speakers, and the air smelled of diesel, cigarettes and barbeque. Antique and modern cars lined the expanse of the lot, with Ferraris parked next to Ford Model Ts and Cadillacs next to DeLoreans.

Coordinated by the Hayfield Auto Technology program in conjunction with the Prince William Cruisers, Hayfield’s 11th annual car show was in full swing. The event attracted car aficionados from Virginia and surrounding states, as well as those who were intrigued by the vibrant atmosphere. The overarching goals of the car show, according to Auto Technology teacher John Terrien, were to simply encourage excitement about antique cars and support the Hayfield Auto Technology program.
